Teach Your Child to Stop Screaming
Teach Your Child to Stop ScreamingScreaming at a screaming kid is one of the most frustrating and aggravating experiences one can have. It's hard enough when you are the parent. But imagine having to deal with that for eight hours a day?It doesn't take long before you start getting frustrated and angry at your child and wonder what on earth you did to make them scream so much. Why do children shriek like that? How can you get rid of that? Your child is only trying to communicate, right? If they are doing that so that you know they are upset, then maybe it's their way of letting you know how they are feeling. Maybe you need to try to listen to them more and respond differently to their needs.Of course, you don't want to get defensive and try to stop them, do you? That will just make the situation worse. Perhaps you should give them a few minutes of silence and try to see if you can understand what they are trying to tell you. Have them repeat the words or sounds, they are screaming so that you can tell them what you want to say to them.Give them a speech that you've written up on your own version of how you feel about something. If you go into the details of why you feel that way, that's something that your child will hear. By getting them to speak to you in a lot of detail, you are getting them to listen to you. They aren't just screaming because they are unhappy.Another way to get them to stop is to offer them some sort of reward. If you don't like what they are doing, then stop doing it. When you get to that point where your child is begging for you to change something, then you are ready to take the next step and try to change the situation.Getting them to stop screaming is really simple. There are lots of books that you can get that teaches you all about screaming kids and how to deal with them effectively. Try some of them out.
